The cooler is now getting ready, we’re still missing some minor parts, but the system’s core arrived and works flawless. One of our packages wore an impressive sticker, but no worries, the only weapon we’re developping is aiming at 3DMark !

Impressive sticker !

First tests

17 Feb 2008 in News, Partners

We’re now receiving the missing parts, with packages arriving every day… that gives a good start to play. And that was the purpose of this week-end: testing all the parts received yet to ensure everything works, and maybe even clocks well. Good news, the objectives we set were reached, and for several of them, the results were even more than impressive !

Thanks goes to Intel and Corsair for their good parts, but even more to Foxconn and Shamino for their support on this project.

Next: testing the cooling system dry, then with LN2.

Our plan is now ready for the convention, and we’re making the final adjustments.

We’ll be running some extra tests during the week, to ensure everything works as planned but as of now, things are going on pretty well. Our LN2 blocks are almost ready, we’re waiting for the last one to arrive.

We also received a great help from Foxconn, especially from a great overclocker there : Shamino who sent us a very nice part… You’ll see it on the booth in now only three weeks !

As this website may look a bit empty for now, I’ll try to explain what will be online here in a short while (in fact, in a month).

The end of the URL says it’s all about the CeBit 2008 … while the beginning says it will feature live content … that’s still doesn’t explain what it will be about. Let’s make it short: Cooler Master is organizing an overclocking show on their booth during the convention, and we’ll report the results here.

On the booth, we’ll make our best to overclock as much as possible, on one side featuring Cooler Master cooling solutions used to take the best of our hardware, and on the other side using a new cooling method (running liquid nitrogen, but not in the usual way) to try to break some records.

On the website, we’ll report the results, show the live pictures, and publish articles about our demonstration.

Stay tuned for the results !
